We are an authentic Chinese Take Away (with a twist!) – We also sell fruity Bubble Teas & Bubble Waffles! Using only high-quality produce and hand-preparing everything on site in our tiny kitchen – we ‘wok’ the Witterings & surrounding areas with our extensive menu!
We can cater for Vegans and Vegetarians and our menu includes many tasty Tofu dishes. Wheat intolerant and Celiacs – don’t worry, we have that covered with lots of other alternatives, just let us know when ordering of any dietary needs! For our bubble teas, many non-caffeinated tea options available.
And because we offer our Free Delivery service on our hot food, all of our desserts & drinks can also be delivered!

Introducing Our Munchie Boxes!
We are one of a kind in the Witterings & the Chichester area – we sell Munchie Boxes! Choose 3 items from a list of our most popular dishes including Noodles and Rice, Salt & Chilli Chicken and even our famous crackling pork, served in a handy box to eat on the beach! Definitely enough for 2 people to share, but if you’re feeling greedy then it is a perfect meal for 1.
If you fancy something different, we sell steamed dumplings & fluffy bao buns along with all your chinese takeaway favourites!
Also, we are the only Chinese take away in the proximity that offers a completely FREE delivery service! With no delivery fees or minimum spend – you can order 1 dish & have delivered to your door with no extra costs!

And of course, it wouldn’t be authentic Bubble Tea if we didn’t serve the Original Brown Sugar Bubble Tea with Tapioca!
All of our bubble teas are hand prepared by our highly-trained team in the real way, no ice is left in your drink!

Delicious, Crispy Bubble Waffles
Our bubble waffles are cooked to order with a light crisp on the outside and still fluffy on the inside, served in a cone wrapping. They can be filled with a combination of fillings and toppings. Lotus Biscoff & Crushed Oreo are our best sellers! Perfect to enjoy with a bubble tea or even one of our delicious coffees, including flat whites and latte.
We also serve Bubble Waffle Sundaes! Loaded with layers of warm Bubble Waffles pieces, Ice Cream, and Toppings and finished with Cream!
On hot days why not try one of our ice creams or thick milkshakes with our delicious bubble waffle toppings!
THE WOKON DIFFERENCE
Heidi loves Bubble Tea and wanted to introduce this to the Witterings. Bubble Tea is a tea-based drink that originated in Taiwan. Its popularity spread, and from the early 80s you this fun drink could be found in Hong Kong and many other busy Asian cities. It is a fun and delicious drink that comes in multiple flavours.
Best of all it contains wonderful popping pearls and Tapioca pearls. With so many flavours to choose from, you can add whichever topping to suit your taste buds.
Bubble waffles originated as a street snack in Hong Kong in the 1950s. The waffles are cooked to order to a light crisp on the outside and still fluffy on the inside and served in a cone wrapping. Bubble Waffles can be filled with a combination of fillings and toppings.
Wokon also includes a wide range of cantonese dishes with everyone’s favourites. With lots of delicious extras added to the menu – there is something for everyone. Bringing the Chinese menu from Number One Chinese Restaurant was a no brainer!

Heidi & Wayne
Wokon was established in 2022 by husband & wife team Wayne & Heidi. Heidi already had Number One Chinese to run in Bracklesham but by complete chance was offered the premises of 25 Shore Road. They took it on & turned it into Wokon, bringing something new & exciting to East Wittering.
Tim & Michelle
Heidi’s parents moved to England from Hong Kong when they were just youngsters and married and had 3 children. Tim and Michelle (Heidi’s parents) opened up Number One Chinese Restaurant in Bracklesham Bay in 1988. They introduced Cantonese cuisine to the community in the late 80s and it was a huge success.

Established in 1988 by Heidi’s parents Tim & Michelle, They introduced Cantonese cuisine to the community in the late 80s and it was a huge success. Heidi was brought up here & started waiting tables and taking orders at the age of 8! Heidi took over the restaurant with her husband Wayne in 2013 they ran it successfully with Heidi's dad Tim still Head Chef. When Covid-19 hit in 2020, Heidi was forced to close the restaurant Even with the Pandemic and being busier than ever, Heidi made the decision not to reopen the restaurant but to continue operating as a Chinese Take Away.
